Can I sort by multiple columns?▾
Yes. Add up to 3 sort levels. Rows are sorted by the first column, then ties are broken by the second, then the third.
How are numbers sorted vs text?▾
In "Number" mode, values are parsed as numbers (so 9 comes before 10). In "Text" mode, values are compared alphabetically (so "10" comes before "9").
Does sorting modify my original file?▾
No. Your original file is never modified. The sorted result is a new download.
Can I sort dates?▾
Yes. Select "Date" type and the sort engine will parse date strings. Standard formats like YYYY-MM-DD, MM/DD/YYYY, and ISO 8601 are recognized.
How large a CSV can this handle?▾
fwip handles files with tens of thousands of rows. The sort is performed in-memory using the browser's native sort algorithm.
