How do I generate a file hash without uploading?▾

Can I hash text instead of a file?▾

Is the SHA-256 hash the same as other tools?▾
Yes. fwip uses the standard Web Crypto API implementation. The hashes are identical to those from OpenSSL, sha256sum, or any standards-compliant tool.
