How does fwip generate random passwords?▾
fwip uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator. No passwords are sent anywhere — everything runs on your device.
Are the generated passwords truly random?▾
Yes. crypto.getRandomValues() is backed by your operating system's entropy source (e.g., /dev/urandom on Linux). It's the same source used by 1Password, Bitwarden, and other password managers.
Can I customise password length and character types?▾
Yes. Set the length (8-128 characters) and toggle uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols independently.
