Your images never leave your machine.

Most online image editors upload your files to a remote server. Your photos pass through infrastructure you don't control.

fwip works differently. The processing engine runs entirely in your browser. Your image is read from your device, processed on your CPU, and the result is saved back to your device. No server is involved. We literally cannot see your file.

No server processing

Everything runs on your device using WebAssembly. Your file never touches a network.

Frequently asked.

What metadata does EXIF data contain?
EXIF data can include GPS coordinates, camera model, lens info, timestamps, software version, and even thumbnail images. fwip shows you exactly what's hidden before stripping it.
How do I remove GPS location from photos before sharing?
Drop your photos onto fwip and click Strip Metadata. GPS coordinates, along with all other EXIF data, are removed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Does stripping EXIF data reduce image quality?
No. fwip removes only the metadata bytes — the actual pixel data is untouched. Your image looks identical but no longer carries hidden information.
Can I strip metadata from multiple photos at once?
Yes. Drop up to 50 images at a time and fwip will strip metadata from all of them in one batch. The free web version handles this on-device with no upload.
