Does this use cloud transcription?▾
No. The Whisper AI model runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. No audio data is sent to any server.
How accurate is it?▾
Whisper tiny (English) achieves 90-95% accuracy on clear audio with one or two speakers. Noisy recordings or heavy accents reduce accuracy.
What file types are supported?▾
MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, WebM, OGG, AAC. Video files have their audio track extracted automatically.
How long can the recording be?▾
Most devices handle recordings up to 30-60 minutes comfortably. Very long recordings are processed in 30-second chunks with progress indication.
How does action item extraction work?▾
Pattern matching on the transcript. It looks for phrases like "need to", "should", "I'll", "by Thursday" and extracts the surrounding sentence with its timestamp.
