What fwip is
fwip provides browser-based file tools (the "Web Tools") that run entirely on your device, and a paid offline desktop application (the "Offline App") available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. The Web Tools are free to use. The Offline App requires a one-time purchase.
Your files
Your files stay on your device. We do not upload, store, process, or transmit your files to any server. The Web Tools run in your browser using WebAssembly. The Offline App runs natively on your machine. Neither version sends your files anywhere. We have no access to your files and no record that you processed them.
Data we collect
We do not collect personal data through the browser tools. There are no accounts required. We use cookies for ads that help keep the free tools free, and basic analytics to understand which tools people use. Your files are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. If you purchase the Offline App, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy and subject to their privacy policy — we receive confirmation of purchase but not your payment details. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address for that purpose only.
Payment and refunds
The Offline App is sold as a one-time purchase via Lemon Squeezy. All prices are in USD. You get lifetime access to the version you purchase, plus all future updates. If you're not satisfied, email us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked.
Intellectual property
The fwip tools, interface, and code are ours. Your files are yours — we claim no rights over anything you process through fwip. Open-source components used by fwip remain subject to their respective licences.
No warranty
fwip is provided as-is. We've tested it carefully but we can't guarantee it will work perfectly for every file, browser, or operating system. Use it for important documents at your own discretion, and keep backups of anything critical. We are not liable for data loss, corruption, or any other consequence of using fwip.
Not professional services
fwip provides tools, not professional services. We make no guarantees about the legal validity of electronic signatures, the completeness or permanence of redactions, the accuracy of document conversions, or the integrity of processed files. Users are responsible for verifying their own outputs. Do not rely on fwip for legally binding signatures, certified redactions, or archival-grade document processing without independent verification.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, fwip's total liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the Offline App, or zero if you used the free Web Tools.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of fwip after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
