Does fwip upload my files for processing? ▾
No. Every fwip privacy tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files, text, and passwords never leave your device.
What encryption does fwip use? ▾
AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2 key derivation (100,000 iterations). This is the same standard used by banks and governments.
Are my encrypted files stored anywhere? ▾
No. Encrypted files are generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. fwip has no server storage, no accounts, and no cloud sync.
Can fwip recover my password? ▾
No. fwip never sees or stores your passwords. If you forget an encryption password, the data cannot be recovered. This is by design. It means nobody else can recover it either.
