How do I extract a colour palette from an image without uploading?▾
Drop your image onto fwip. The tool analyses pixel data locally in your browser using a median cut algorithm. No server is involved and your image never leaves your device.
How many colours can I extract from an image?▾
fwip lets you choose 4, 6, 8, or 10 colours. The extraction algorithm deduplicates similar hues so each colour in the palette is distinct.
Can I copy hex codes from the extracted palette?▾
Yes. Click any swatch to copy its hex code to your clipboard. You can also click Copy All to get every hex value at once, or download the palette as a PNG.
What image formats are supported for palette extraction?▾
fwip supports JPG, PNG, and WebP images up to 50 MB. Transparent pixels in PNG and WebP images are ignored during analysis.
