Your code never leaves your machine.

Most online minifiers upload your code to a server. Your source code passes through systems you don't control.

fwip works differently. The minification engine runs entirely in your browser. Your code is read from your device, processed on your CPU, and the result is saved back to your device. No server is involved. We literally cannot see your file.

No server processing

Everything runs on your device using WebAssembly. Your file never touches a network.

Frequently asked.

Does this rename variables?
No. fwip performs whitespace and comment removal only. Variable names, function names, and code structure remain unchanged. For advanced minification with variable renaming, use a build tool like Terser or esbuild.
Is this safe for production?
Yes, for basic minification. fwip removes comments, whitespace, and unnecessary characters without changing code behavior. For critical production builds, consider a full build pipeline.
Does it handle template literals?
The minifier handles basic JavaScript patterns. Complex template literals with nested expressions may not be perfectly minified. For edge cases, use a dedicated build tool.
Can I minify multiple files?
Currently one file at a time. Paste each file separately. The offline bundle supports batch minification.
How much smaller will my code get?
Typical savings are 20-40% depending on code style, comment density, and formatting. Heavily commented code sees the biggest reductions.
