Your audio never leaves your machine.

Most online audio splitters upload your file to a server. fwip splits audio entirely in your browser — your recordings stay private.

fwip works differently. The processing engine runs entirely in your browser. Your audio is read from your device, processed on your CPU, and the result is saved back to your device. No server is involved. We literally cannot see your file.

No server processing

Everything runs on your device using WebAssembly. Your file never touches a network.

Frequently asked.

How do I split audio at specific times?
Switch to "Custom split points" mode and enter times like "1:30" or "90" (seconds). Each split point divides the audio at that time. You can add as many split points as needed.
Can I split into equal parts?
Yes. Use the "Split every X seconds" mode and set the interval. For example, splitting a 5-minute file every 60 seconds creates 5 equal parts.
What format are the output files?
The output files are in the same format as your input. fwip uses stream copy mode (no re-encoding) so the split is lossless and instant.
Is there a limit on the number of segments?
No practical limit. You can split into as many segments as needed.
Does splitting re-encode the audio?
No. fwip uses FFmpeg stream copy mode, which splits at the binary level without re-encoding. This means zero quality loss and very fast processing.
