What does AI Skin Fix do?▾
It adds the micro-details that real cameras capture but AI processing removes: skin pore texture, film grain, subtle sharpening, and tiny colour variations. The result looks like a real photograph instead of an AI render.
Which photos benefit most?▾
AI-upscaled images (from tools like Topaz or fwip Upscale), AI-generated portraits (Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion), and over-smoothed selfies. Any photo that looks "too perfect" or plastic will benefit.
How does face detection work?▾
fwip detects faces in your photo to apply skin texture only where it belongs — on skin, not on backgrounds or clothing. The face detection model runs locally in your browser.
Will it make my photo look noisy?▾
No. The default presets are calibrated to add natural-looking texture, not visible noise. Start with "Natural" and adjust from there. The before/after slider lets you compare instantly.
What presets are available?▾
Four presets: Subtle (minimal enhancement), Natural (balanced real-camera look), Editorial (fashion/magazine style), and Film (analog film emulation with stronger grain and colour shifts).
Can I adjust individual settings?▾
Yes. Expand Advanced Controls to dial in sharpening amount, skin texture intensity, grain strength, and colour variation independently.
