What languages are supported?▾
JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JSON, and XML. fwip uses js-beautify for reliable, configurable formatting across all five languages.
Is the formatting configurable?▾
Yes. Choose between 2 spaces, 4 spaces, or tabs for indentation. The formatter preserves up to 2 consecutive blank lines and adds a trailing newline.
Does this change the code's behaviour?▾
No. Beautifying only changes whitespace and indentation. The logic and functionality of your code remain identical.
Does it auto-detect the language?▾
Yes. fwip auto-detects JSON, HTML, XML, and CSS based on the code structure. You can also manually select the language.
Can I format minified code?▾
Yes. This is the primary use case. Paste any minified JavaScript, CSS, or HTML and get properly indented, readable output.
